On average, 4.3 billion menstural products are used yearly in the UK alone, and this much waste is unfortunaley contributing to the destruction of habitats, pollution, and overflowing landfills. At Little Goat Gruff, we would like to lend some help in trying to change this. 

Not only are single use menstural products harmful to the environment, but they are not too great for us humans either! Recently, more and more information about how tampons are full of toxic chemicals and other harmful substances has become available, and of course, the last thing we want is these substances coming into contact with the most sensitive and absorbent places of our bodies. Commonly found in mainstream period products such as tampons, are dioxins, plastics, undisclosed fragrances and even pesticide residues, which ave all been directly linked to endocrine disruption and allergies. Not what we want! 

We know that swapping out our period products is a touchy process, and we empathise with the doubts that people can have, but we and many others who have made the swap are happier, and healthier for it! 

Not only will switching to reusuable products save you tons of money! The average person spends around £161 a year on period items, which in our books, is crazy! The option to add a menstrual cup is available if you like to try it out! We love these, as they are non toxic, and made from food grade silicone, meaning they can be left in for up to 12 hours and are super for preventing leaks!

We stock a lot of European brands who use the height of your child instead of an age range, this seems complicated but it really isn't, we promise! Simply measure in cm's from head to heel and that is the size you need to buy.
