This Citric Acid from EcoLiving is a great eco-friendly cleaning alternative that does not sacrifice effectiveness! Citric Acid is a food grade, weak natural acid and can be very useful around the home. Citric acid can be used in a plethora of different ways, such as removing soap scum, hard water stains, calcium deposits, rust, and limescale.
To use:
For removing limescale from your washing machine:
use 6-8 tablespoons of Citric Acid, place in the drum and run your machine on a 90°C cycle.
For descaling:
Dilute 1-2 tablespoons of Citric Acid in 1L of cold water and mix. Use the mixture to descale cups, taps, shower heads, kitchen tiles, toilets and more. After use, rinse with clean water.
As a toilet cleaner:
Empty half the bag of citric acid into your toilet bowl and leave for 8-12 hours.
Storage: Keep in a closed container, in a cool, dry place.
