Sawdust and rainbows vision for Scaffer was to develop a super-simple system that requires no tools or fixings for safe and easy building. A STEAM toy, Scaffer helps your child to develop their hands-on exploration, problem solving, mathematical, deep thinking and teamwork skills while encouraging their imagination to run wild!
Made from sustainable birch plywood, Scaffer is eco-friendly and totally unique. The clever interlocking panels have ergonomic grips so they’re easy to hold, and your child can build the structure with a simple ‘slide and tilt’ motion – no clamps, clips or screws, and nothing to get lost!
Rosie says: “Scaffer’s interlocking connections have been a labour of love for us over the past two years but we’ve developed a system that allows kids to work it out and build anything they like. When they’re finished, it can be taken down and stored away in its own wooden crate, taking up minimal space when not in use!”
Scaffer is aimed at children aged 6 and over who are learning to develop more advanced analytical and problem-solving skills. There are three kits – starter, mega and ultimate – plus an education kit and three add-on kits that can be combined so that Scaffer grows with your child and your family for years and years of fun.
As with all our toys, Scaffer is fully CE, UKCA, ASTM and CCPA tested and this is what makes it truly unique.
For every Scaffer sold, Sawdust and Rainbows will plant a tree through their partnership with Just One Tree.

We stock a lot of European brands who use the height of your child instead of an age range, this seems complicated but it really isn't, we promise! Simply measure in cm's from head to heel and that is the size you need to buy.
