You need WiFi in order to setup Yoto Player. When you insert a Yoto Card into Yoto Player it downloads the content from yoto's server. Once it has downloaded the content, then it can be used without being connected on future occasions*. The player has up to 250 hours/ 16Gb of audio storage. *Note that you can disconnect Yoto Player from the Wifi via the app.

Yoto's are really robust machines but we do recommend an adventure jacket to protect from knocks, bumps and scrapes.

About Yoto
The Yoto player is a carefully connected screen free speaker for kids. Back in 2015 the founders of Yoto were, like many of us concerned about the effects of to much screen time for their kids.
They decided to make a prototype of a screen free speaker that kids from toddler to 12+ could enjoy. After launching a kickstart campaign in 2017 which was fulfilled in just days the first generation yoto player was put into production. Since then it has been a run away success with more cards and content and useful accessories being launched regularly.
2021 saw the launch of the Yoto mini, a smaller travel sized screen free speaker for day trips and holidays.
Here at Little Goat Gruff we have a Yoto player at home for our little ones, its a huge success and much loved by both of them. All the content is loved, podcasts, music, books plus we use the white noise and sleep songs for bed time and then as a night light! It is a very robust little machine, ours has weathered being left out in the rain (obviously NOT advised!), many drops and knocks and once the card slot may even of been filled with porridge…..we won’t name any names but it survived and is still going strong!

We stock a lot of European brands who use the height of your child instead of an age range, this seems complicated but it really isn't, we promise! Simply measure in cm's from head to heel and that is the size you need to buy.
I bought the player and this bundle of cards for my 2 year old. She loves the player and can already put a card in and get it going. The free yoto radio station is good to stick on, and I sometimes but it on when I'm putting washing away by myself!
She loves the bundle of cards. Each has the story, a read along version with a sound when it's time to turn the page, and a catchy song!
Speaker quality is fab and its really loud (although you can limit the volume as I have done).
